Graduation Day at Chinese School 人文学校毕业典礼

The Graduation Day is a big day at our Chinese School. Students from every class trained very hard for many weeks for this performance. Many thanks to all our students, teachers, parents and Tzu Chi volunteers for their time and effort.

人文学校毕业典礼是学校的大日子。为了毕业典礼，多个星期以来，每一班同学都非常努力的排练。感恩所有的师学们、家长们以及慈济人在时间和精力上的付出。

The day started very early. Everybody crowd around the cafeteria, doing some minute rehearsal and making sure that our students are properly dressed, all the props are working and present. The mood was slightly tensed but everybody was excited.

一大早大家便在餐厅集合，做最后一分钟的排练，并确保同学们的仪容端正，道具齐全和操作正常。气氛略有紧张，但是大家都感受到一股莫名的兴奋。

I believed our students are the happiest among everybody. This graduation marked the end of their academic term and I am sure they had a happy time here. The ceremony started by a short speech by Vict SB, followed by our principal Xu SB. Next, Xu SB invited all our teachers on stage and thanks them for their effort over the whole year with a small token of appreciation.

我相信最快乐的是同学们。毕业典礼标志着一学年的结束。我深信他们在人文学校里一定有不少愉快的时光。毕业典礼由诗白师伯发表短言而拉开序幕。许校长跟着发言，并邀请所有教师们上台，感恩他们过去一年的努力付出和送上小礼物以示感谢。

This is followed by conferring certificate of achievements to our various students for their accomplishments, story telling or speech giving. Lastly, we thank our parents-volunteers on stage with a gift of appreciation.

紧接着，各班级的优秀同学一一上台，接授许校长颁发的奖状，奖励他们在课业、说故事以及演讲方面的成就。最后，我们邀请家长志工上台，以小礼物感谢他们的付出。

Next, the most exciting part, our students' performance! Our Chinese dance took the first performance, followed by several sign language performances by our very young students, a solo by our very own Chinese dance teacher, a few plays by our students, keyboard performance, song by our senior students and lastly a sign language by our own parents.

接下来的重头戏是同学们的表演。华族舞蹈班打头阵，其次是同学们的手语表演，再来是华族舞蹈班指导老师的单独演出。之后是同学们的几出短剧，键盘演出，高年级的同学们献唱和家长的手语表演。

The whole Graduation ceremony concluded with a short speech by our best student, Cai-er, who got the first runner-up in the New England Chinese School speech-giving competition. After which, everybody moved to the cafeteria to enjoy lunch and chat. It will be at least two months before school re-open.

整个毕业典礼在学校最杰出的同学，彩儿致谢后结束。彩儿今年荣获新英格兰中文学校协会主办的演讲比赛国语双语组别的第二名。典礼结束后，大家到餐厅享用午膳，聊聊天。典礼后是两个月的暑假，学校没那么早重新开课。

Since last Sep when I first got in touch with Tzu Chi Boston, I got to know our Chinese School. I spent many Sundays with everybody. The cafeteria became the place where I got my weekly grocery and cooked food from Cai SG. We had several meetings in the school compound, I took countless pictures of our Chinese School events and activities.

自去年九月第一次接触慈济波士顿，我便认识人文学校。无数的礼拜日都和大家一起过。学校餐厅成为我向蔡师姑买素食的首选地方。我们在校园里开过几次会议，我也曾无数次地用相机拍下人文学校的人事物和活动。

I hope that everybody learned something during their time spent in our Chinese School. I sure did.

我由衷希望大家在人文学校时有所体悟。因为我有。
