盛港爱洒及环保点开跑 The start of recycling point at Sengkang and introducing recycling to the community

盛港环保站十月十二日开跑。为了让附近的居民参与，我们在礼拜一和礼拜四举办了两场爱洒活动。这一回，我负责三合一摄影。

Sengkang has a new recycling point starting on 12 Oct 08. To introduce this event to the community of Sengkang, we had two sessions of "Ai Sa", on Monday and Thursday. This time, I am not directly involved but rather in-charge of photo-taking.

摄影的好处是可以到处走走，观察各位师伯、师姑、师兄、师姐是如何爱洒的，借机会偷偷师。我惊讶地发现，原来洁仪师姐可以和任何人聊天，聊得及长又有趣。我也观察到，大多数人都不想上镜，常常闪避镜头。我只好多用点心，只在大家聊得起兴时，还按下快门。

Photo-taking allows me to move around different groups and observed their respective skills. I am amazed that Jie Yi SJ can strike such a long and interesting conversation with anyone. I also realized that most people are camera shy and I had to be very careful with the camera, taking pictures only in the middle of a conversation when they are more comfortable.

两场爱洒后，回应很好，很多居民表示会到环保点或把可回收物放在门外。可惜的是，虽然我们人多，以及住户少，但还是无法把爱洒进每一户人家。

At the end of two introducing "Ai Sa" sessions, we got plenty of feedback that they will come down to visit our recycling point or leave the recyclable stuffs outside their door. Although it is only a few blocks of flats and we had a lot of people, we still cannot complete every household.

环保日当天，刚开始时有一点慢。礼拜天早上九点，我们便到家家户户提醒和回收环保物件。但是盛港是年轻人居多的组屋区，家庭大多数没有早起。因此，我们其实有点担心反应会不热烈。好在，随着时间的推进，环保站的人潮也渐渐多了。与此同时，志工们也从居民屋里接到不少回收物。有趣和感人的故事很多，我会把俊伟师兄写的稿连接上来。

On the actual day, things started slow. We went around reminding everybody and asked for recyclable stuffs are 9 am on a Sunday morning. Most households were still asleep since Sengkang is young housing estate. We were actually quite worried that response will be poor. Luckily, as time passes, more and more people came over and visit us. At the same time, volunteers managed to get a lot of recyclable stuffs during door to door visits. There are many interesting stories and I will post the link to the story (written by Jun Wei SX) soon.

忙了一个早上，好在大家都是甘愿做，欢喜受，带着满满的法喜回家。

It is a tiring morning, but everybody put in their best effort and left with a happy heart at the end of the morning.
