和五位高中同学一起到高中老师家拜年。每一位朋友都很用心工作，生活富足，开着汽车到老师家。只有自己守着清贫理念，搭乘公共巴士。
Five of my JC classmates visited our school teacher during Chinese New Year. Every one of them works very hard and earns a decent living, driving to our teacher's house. I am the only who believe in living a simple life and takes the public bus.
离开老师家时，顿起无名烦恼。高中时，我成绩比每一位都好，现在每一位却都比我成功，起了一点不平衡的念头。还好，想起有义师兄的心得分享。有义师兄说旧同学聚会时，接到同学的名片，印着董事长的职位。念头一转，就觉得也没什么。
I was slightly troubled when I left my teacher’s place. In JC, I outperformed every one of them. However, they are all now more successful than me. Fortunately, I remembered what You Yi SX once shared with me. He faced the same situation during his old classmate gathering where name cards with title “Director” were exchanged. However, he realized that it is not something very significant in life.
加入慈济后，了解到成功不以金钱和地位来衡量。生不带来，死不带去。万般带不走，唯有业随身。感恩上人，让我理解生命真正的意义是付出，不只要燃烧自己，照亮别人，还要启发别人，点亮别人的心灯，灯灯相传。
After joining Tzu Chi, I understand that success is not measured by money and status. They cannot be bring along when u dead. The only thing that follows you is your karma. I am grateful to Master for enlightening me that the true meaning of life is to offer our services, not only burning themselves to lit up others, but also to inspired others by encouraging them to pass on the light of good.
不过还是要忏悔。以前会为自己找借口，向朋友说，不是我不能，是我不要。如果我要，金融界任我闯。真是自欺欺人，以我的性格，面对金融界复杂的人际关系，不失败才怪。今后，我会自信地说，走在菩萨道上，我真的是法喜充满。很高兴，很感恩自己找到了正确的人生道路。
But I still have to repent. I used to make excuses and tell my friends that I can do it if I feel like it. If I really want, I can enter the financial sector and swim like a fish in water. That is all self-deception. With my character, face with the complexity of human relationships in the financial sector, I am bound to fail. From now on, I will confidently say walking along the Bodhisattva path, I am truly happy.
